Carson and Cookie Dough

I made cookies yesterday afternoon and let Carson have a spoonful of the cookie dough - as you can see, he ended up with two spoonfuls, and cookie dough all over his mouth. He looked so cute and when I grabbed the camera, he started making faces and being silly. I couldn't resist sharing!

Brooke's Godfather

Brooke met her Godfather, "Uncle Fugate" this weekend! Since Uncle Fugate's first name is Bryan, just like Daddy's (only spelled differently!), we have always called him Fugate, and with the kiddos, Uncle Fugate. He lives in Columbus and drove to Indy to spend the weekend with us and we are so thankful he did! Brooke smiled at him the first time she met him, and Carson kept reminding him he hadn't visited since Halloween - and that was too long :). As you can see, they love him! We went swimming Friday night and Carson showed off his skills, including his new underwater flips. We spent lots of time playing Wii, talking, watching basketball games, playing Transformers with Carson, and even had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory Saturday night.
I think this series of photos is so funny - Fugate hasn't changed, but Brooke is awfully busy trying to chew on her hand, looking at him, looking at the camera....too funny!

Brooke is Two Months Old

Brooke turned 2 months old on Wednesday - she is getting so big! She was in a great mood, the sun was shining, she was wearing her oh-so-cute fairy outfit, and I snapped some great photos of her smiling!

She looks like she is dancing in this one!

Four Generations

We are so blessed to have gotten four generation pictures this past weekend with Granny and Grandpa.

Brooke's First Trip to Illinois

Brooke made her first trip to Illinois this past weekend! Last Wednesday, Mom and Dad drove over and spent the night (my presentation went well, by the way). Thursday morning, we woke up, went to Long's (the best doughnut place on Earth!) and visited Katy's office at IUPUI. It was Nana's birthday and we had a great drive to Illinois - Brooke slept almost the entire way! Granny and Grandpa came for dinner Thursday night to help celebrate Nana's birthday with us and we took some great photos. I'll do a separate post with 4 generation pictures. Therese had minor foot surgery Friday morning (she's healing well) and I took Brooke to spend some time with my good friend Tara from high school and her two adorable kiddos, Lennon and Norah. Brian and Katy drove in Friday night and we had Sam's Too pizza...I've been craving it since our last trip to Illinois in September. Brooke met many family members, we enjoyed watching Illinois beat Indiana, and we had a wonderful weekend hanging out. I've posted plenty of pictures below! Enjoy!
Mom and Dad's neighbors, Irene and Lacy, who are virtually another set of grandparents to the three of us girls, and my children as well.
Nana's birthday dessert!

We had a little too much fun with the pink sparkly gel :).

Babies love Uncle Paul, my Godfather. Brooke was no exception!
Carson playing the Horton Hears a Who game.

For Valentine's Day, Nana went to Pease's and picked out goodies for each of us. Yummy!

Papa getting smiles out of Brooke...Mommy's camera just isn't quick enough to catch those grins!

Happy Birthday, Nana!

Sleepy baby.
Aunt Teese loving her time with Brooke.

Carson was so proud of his gift - nail polish!

Busy Week and Pacers Suite!

It has been a very busy week! Brooke's godmother Lexi came for a visit (see the last pic of the two of them!!)! I've been really busy with my paper and presentation for class tonight - after this one, I'm 1/4th done...hurray! Brian got suite tickets to the Pacer's game last night so he, Carson and Aunt Katy went and had a great time watching the Pacers beat the Cavs!

Halftime entertainment!

More snow!

On Sunday, the guys built a snowman and buried Carson in the snow. It was about 40 degrees (a heat wave!) and a nice sunny day, despite all the snow. We had another 3-4 inches yesterday! We are definitely ready for spring to arrive!

After posing for the picture, Carson took a bite out of his snowman. Kids and their fascination with eating snow...gotta love it!

And the first smile goes to....

In the spirit of awards season in Hollywood, I couldn't resist this title! Of course, big brother Carson was the first one to get a big smile from Brooke! Brian and I think the first word Brooke says will be something that stands for Carson (he's hoping for Car-Car). We have had trouble capturing it on film, but here's the closest picture so far we have of Brooke's beautiful smile!
Here are our two favorite little people playing together (and yes, Carson is dressed like a Power Ranger).
